What the Warranty Covers

Our product warranties cover manufacturing defects and faulty parts that arise under normal use during the warranty period. If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty terms and the Consumer Protection Act.

Our installations include a 12-month workmanship warranty, confirmed with your quote. This covers defects in installation work carried out by Solar Panel Energy across the Vaal Triangle and Gauteng, including Pretoria, Johannesburg, Alberton, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Vereeniging, and Meyerton, as well as off-grid installations for farms. Workmanship warranty covers issues arising from incorrect wiring, faulty connections, or poor workmanship during system design and installation.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Incorrect installation by third parties not authorised by Solar Panel Energy
  • Lightning or surge damage
  • Water damage or exposure to moisture beyond product specifications
  • Physical damage, impact, or abuse
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by operating the product outside its rated specifications
  • Products purchased from unauthorised resellers
  • Failure to follow manufacturer installation and maintenance guidelines

We strongly recommend surge protection and proper earthing for all solar installations to minimise the risk of lightning and surge damage.
